How to Search & Trace Your Pepper Seed Lot
We hold our pepper seed production to the highest standards. Follow the guide below to locate your packet's Lot Code and trace its complete journey from field to germination chamber.
Where to Find Your Lot Code
Every official Pepper Explorer seed packet features an archival verification stamp on the back label. Look for the boxed panel directly below the cultivar description.
Anatomy of a Lot Code
Each segment of the Lot Code reveals essential traceability data about the seed's production year, lineage, and field picking batch:
Designates an official batch monitored under Pepper Explorer testing protocol.
The calendar year mother pepper pods were harvested from our production plots.
Standardized 3-letter cultivar code (e.g. CRP = Carolina Reaper, TMC = Trinidad Moruga Caramel, SRP = Sugar Rush Peach, HAB = Orange Habanero). Cultivar abbreviations are always exactly 3 letters.
The specific intake picking and seed conditioning sequence for that season.
4 Flexible Ways to Search
Our search console supports partial matching and multi-attribute queries. You don't need the exact code to find your lot:
Type the full code or partial suffix (e.g. LOT-2026-CRP-01 or CRP-01).
Search any cultivar like Carolina Reaper, Habanero, or Jalapeno.
Filter by scientific classification like Capsicum chinense, baccatum, or annuum.
Search Testing, Processing, or In Queue to see lots currently in progress.
What Information You Can Inspect
Every lot passport acts as an immutable certificate of seed viability and field care:
- Certified 100-Seed Germination Rate
Real laboratory viability benchmark scored after controlled incubation.
- Chamber Temperature & Assay Protocol
Bottom heat regulated at 84°F with standardized moist blotter methodology.
- Photographic Milestone Logs
Visual checkpoints logged at Days 1, 7, 14, and 21 to document radicle emergence.
- Field Isolation & Harvest Lineage
Documentation of physical netting or isolation method to guarantee genetic purity.
